Overview

Events Analysis Reports, available for Enterprise customers only, can give you comprehensive insight into the performance of a particular event in HubSpot. This report is broken down into:

  • Traffic trends
  • First touch sources
  • Last touch sources
  • Assists

Follow this help article to see how to navigate the reports and gain insight into your events' performances.

1. Select a report

Find your Events.

Select the chart icon next to the event you want to take a look at.

2. Select timeframe

You can select which timeframe you want to view the report in. The default is the month to date, but you can switch depending on what you want to see.

3. Analyze the event

The report is broken down into four sections, with each one providing you with important information when assessing an event's performance.

Traffic Trend

Traffic Trends tell you the overall traffic to the event over the timeframe you selected. At the top, it visually shows how many visitors total completed the action, plus the number of completions. Keep in mind, visitors can complete an event multiple times.

Visitors and completions are also compared in a graph below the numbers. You can hover over a point to see the exact number.

First Touch Sources

This data reveals how people who completed this action first found you. This report will show you the effectiveness of your marketing campaigns at generating traffic for your site. This report is broken up into a chart with a table of a more detailed breakdown of the actual sources.

To show or hide different sources, just select the circle under the 'Chart' column of the table.

Last Touch Sources

This data shows how people who completed this action found you just before completing the event. This report will show you the effectiveness of your marketing campaigns at convincing visitors to convert into leads.

Assists

The assist report shows you which events and content on your site had a positive influence on visitors, and encouraged them (statistically speaking) to become visitors who have completed this event. After analyzing your data, consider featuring and prioritizing content that appears in this report, as people who viewed these items later converted!

You can filter the assist report by:

  • Content Assists - content on your website that influenced users
  • Event Completions - events that were completed that influenced users
