× The Email application is brand new. Because we’re working on improving it daily, what you see in the documentation may differ slightly from what you see in the app.
In some of the default HubSpot email templates, you will be able to add a standalone image to your email. You may also have set up some custom email templates with this module type. Here are the instructions for how to use this module.
You can then either choose from one of the images you've already uploaded to the image library, or click Upload a new image.
Once you've uploaded a new image, it will be available in your image library. Select that image and then click Use Image.
2. Edit the image link URL
If you would like to link this image to a page on your site, enter the page URL in the Image link URL field.
3. Edit the image ALT text
Next, you should enter ALT text for this image. The ALT text should be more like a CTA than just a target keyword.
There are a couple reasons why you would want to do so:
1. Some email clients block images by default. When the images are blocked, ALT text will appear instead. So each image should have compelling ALT text that is compelling, and concisely describes what the image is, or what it links to on your site.
2. When you turn your email into a website page, the ALT text will yield the same SEO benefits as the ALT text of any image on your site.
4. Resize your image if necessary
In the preview on the right, you'll be able to see how big the image is in comparison with the rest of your email.
To resize the image, use the image resizer tool.
- decreases the image size 1 pixel
-- decreases the image size 25 pixels
+ increases the image size 1 pixel
++ increases the image size 25 pixels
As you resize the image, you'll see the preview on the right update.
That's it! Note that you cannot change the placement of the image within this email unless you (1) edit the email template or (2) choose a different template that has the image placed elsewhere.
